Evolution is a slow, steady process, but a revolution is rapid, substantial, and far-reaching. The developments in Internet protocol television over the last few years (in addition to those developments yet to come) demonstrate that IPTV is not in the evolutionary stages, but that it is completely revolutionary. With huge increases in subscribership and technological innovations on the horizon, IPTV is on track to become the third great video option, rivaling cable and DBS.
